From upload to EUR in minutes

Starter gets you in the door. Field unlocks Smart Fit, the full report, and exports.

1

Upload production

Drop CSV (Starter) or Excel (Field+). Petrolyt maps columns, cleans shut-ins, and shows what changed.

2

Fit the decline

Starter: basic Auto-Fit + manual 8-model forecast. Field+: Smart Fit ranks all 8 models by R² for oil, gas, or dual.

3

Read, tune & export

On Field+: interactive qi / Di / b sliders, P90/P50/P10, then PDF or CSV when you need a report.

A typical PE workflow

What you do after signup — the path from first file to a shareable EUR

  1. Create a well

Oil, gas, or dual-phase. Or open the free demo well to explore without uploading.

  2. Upload production history

CSV or Excel with date + rate (and optional cumulative / pressure). Review the import summary for shut-ins and outliers removed.

  3. Choose the tool

Smart Fit for day-to-day DCA (Field+). P/Z when you have pressure + Gp. VP-DCA or Fetkovich when pressure history matters (Engineer).

  4. Read the report

Ranked models, R² / RMSE, residuals, EUR and economic life, optional Monte Carlo P90 / P50 / P10.

  5. Tune with interactive scenarios

Slide qi / Di / b, save scenarios, zoom the forecast chart — then export PDF/CSV or call the API.

  6. Screen economics (Engineer)

NPV, IRR, payback, and sensitivity on the forecast stream — screening, not reserves booking.

What you put in. What you get out.

Clear inputs and engineer-readable outputs — no black box

Inputs

  • Production file — date + oil and/or gas rate; optional cumulative
  • Well type — oil (STB/d), gas (Mscf/d), or dual (both)
  • Fit window — optional start/end months; shut-in & ramp filters
  • Economic limit — rate cutoff for EUR life (defaults available)
  • Pressure (optional) — Pwf for VP-DCA; P & Gp for P/Z

Outputs

  • Ranked models — Exponential through LGA with R² / RMSE
  • EUR & life — discrete monthly forecast to economic limit
  • Diagnostics — residuals, rate history overlay, fit-window notes
  • Uncertainty — Monte Carlo P90 / P50 / P10 on Field+ reports
  • Exports — PDF presentation report, CSV forecast, scriptable API

Oil, gas, or both

Pick the well type that matches your file — dual fits two streams, it does not invent GOR

Oil

Rate in STB/d · EUR in Mbbl (or bbl)

Classical and unconventional oil DCA. Smart Fit ranks eight models; interactive scenarios use oil units throughout.

Gas

Rate in Mscf/d · EUR in MMscf

Dedicated gas Smart Fit plus P/Z material balance when you have pressure and cumulative gas for OGIP screening.

Dual

Two independent fits from one well

Upload oil and gas columns once. Petrolyt runs phase-aware fits and reports separate EURs — not a synthetic GOR model.

Try before you upload

Every Starter account includes a demo well with sample production so you can walk the clean → fit → chart path immediately. Sample CSV files are also available once you are in My Wells.

What Petrolyt does today

Clean production files, fit decline curves, and run screening economics — built for the Excel workflow

Clean & fit

Messy-file import, Smart Auto-Fit, full DCA report

Auto-clean production history, fit Exponential through LGA, compare models with R² / RMSE, residuals, and Monte Carlo P90/P50/P10. Smart Fit and the full report are Field+.

Oil & gas

Gas DCA, P/Z material balance, dual wells

Dedicated gas Smart Fit, P/Z for volumetric gas when pressure history exists, and dual oil & gas wells with phase-aware uploads.

Interactive

Live what-if scenarios & chart zoom

Slide decline parameters, save scenarios, zoom forecasts — then export PDF/CSV or call the scriptable API (Field+).

Advanced

VP-DCA, Fetkovich, multi-segment, diagnostics, economics

Variable-pressure DCA (SPE 218016), oil & gas type curves, two-segment fits, Bourdet / flow-regime / data QC, and NPV / IRR with economic decks on Engineer.

Spreadsheet DCA is
slow and brittle

Messy CSV/Excel files, shut-ins, and manual curve fitting eat hours before you even trust the EUR.
